When someone close to you dies, it is often difficult and confusing to deal with all the arrangements in addition to coping with the sadness and emotional stress of bereavement.  Below, we have outlined the process and what steps need to be taken.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER SOMEONE DIES

REGISTERING A DEATH

TELL ORGANISATIONS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES ABOUT THE DEATH

 IF THE PERSON WHO DIED HAD A LASTING OR ENDURING POWER OF ATTORNEY

ARRANGE A FUNERAL

DEALING WITH THE ESTATE

 

SUPPORT  FOR THE BEREAVED

If you feel you need support through this process, please contact the Surgery and ask for a referral to the Social Prescribers, they will be able to provide support and guidance.
