Clinics & Services
In addition to general medical consultations, we run a range of specialist clinics and services for our patients. The services we provide are listed here.
HEALTH CHECKS
The surgery offers health checks for both men and women between the ages of 40 and 74 - these appointments are with a healh care assistance who test cholesterol levels along with blood pressure, weight, your life-style choices and more. They do not diagnose new issues or discuss current symptoms - a GP appointment is required for this. There are also occasions when the NHS offers health checks to over 75's. These health checks are by invitation only. If you have health concerns please contact the Surgery to request a GP appointment.
Diabetes Clinic
Our Diabetic appointments are to be arranged through the Reception team. Invitations for regular 6 month reviews are issued which require a pre-check with a Health Care Assistant and a follow up with the Diabetes Nurse.
Family Planning
To discuss Family Planning issues please make an appointment with any of our Practice Nurses. We also hold special clinics for Contraceptive Implants and Coils (IUD's), whilst also offering regular depo injections. Repeat prescribing/checks for the Contraception Pill is now carried out by the Pharmacy 1st Service, however if necessary the Practice Nurse will prescribe this for you following regular blood pressure checks.
BABY CLINICS
Once a week we hold a Baby Clinic for mothers and their 8 week old babies - this is for the mum and babies first health check and babies first immunisations. The appointments are roughly 45 mins and invitations to attend are sent by text. If you have not had an invitation and the baby is more than 6 weeks old please contact the Surgery.
Phlebotomy
Blood testing is carried out at the surgery every day. Pre-booked appointments for blood tests are offered each working day via the reception desk, the telephone or online using the NHS App. Please note that children under 11 need to attend Warwick Hospital for a blood test - these have to be pre-booked direct with the hospital - please follow this link TO BOOK A BLOOD TEST FOR A CHILD UNDER 11
Travel Vaccinations and Non-NHS Services
If you are a patient at Trinity Court or Claverdon Surgery and require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to make an appointment with a nurse. This initial appointment must be at least 6 weeks before you travel.
The NHS does not pay for all of the services we provide, so patients may be required to pay for some of these services.
Our fees are in line with BMA approved national guidelines.
Minor Surgery & Steroid Clinics
Minor Surgery Clinics are usually held monthly and you may be asked if you would like to be added to the waiting list for treatments at Trinity Court, such as removal of skin lesions e.g Sebaceous cysts, Lipoma, Papilloma, ganglions. Some issues, such as ingrowing toe nails and more complex lesions will need to be referred to Secondary Care by a GP. We are unable to treat vurrucas and suggest you visit a local Pharmacy for advice. Not all GP's offer this service.
Where a GP suggests the use of Steroid injections for joint pain you may be added to a waiting list and invited to attend a Steroid Clinic for the injection at Trinity Court Surgery. Not all GP's offer this service.
