Mrs Rebecca Dawson

Rebecca trained as a nurse in Bristol and qualified in 2003.  She went on to work as a specialist nurse in respiratory care in Bournemouth for 10 years, gaining extensive experience in the field.  In 2020, Rebecca completed a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice at Coventry University, further developing her expertise.  As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Rebecca is trained to the level of an ST3 doctor, enabling her to assess, treat, investigate, and manage patients at an advanced clinical level.

Rebecca’s primary interest remains in respiratory care, particularly asthma, which she continues to be passionate about.  Outside of work, she enjoys a variety of activities including attending a weekly pub quiz, playing netball and being part of a book and pudding club.

With almost 20 years’ experience in nursing, Tess began her career in Southampton before spending 11 years working in intensive care at a busy London teaching hospital, where she developed a strong passion for respiratory care.  She has recently completed her prescribing course, which will further enhance her role within the team.

Outside of work, Tess enjoys socialising with friends, visiting music venues and the theatre, practising Pilates and yoga, and taking her dog on long walks. She also loves exploring with her family and spends much of her free time and holidays in the Isle of Wight.
 

Miss Ama Kwarteng

Specialist Diabetes Nurse

Ama is a dedicated Adult Qualified Nurse with over a decade of clinical experience, having registered in 2014 after completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Adult Nursing at City St George’s (formerly City, University of London).  Her career began in 2014 as a District Nurse in London, where she developed a foundation in managing complex conditions for housebound patients.

Driven by a clinical passion for endocrinology, she pursued specialist training in Diabetes Management at London South Bank University. Over the years, she has established herself as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse, working across diverse healthcare environments including community settings and mental health inpatient units in London.  Ama's expertise also extends to secondary care in the west midlands and the pharmaceutical industry, where she has focused on the management of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, with particular interest in type 2 management.

Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her youngest children are active, energetic twin boys who keep her on her toes!  Ama has a profound love for travel and exploring different cultures, with a particular affinity for Italy. Though she is a frequent visitor, she is still trying to master the Italian language.

She has a passion for improving outcomes for patients and making a difference to the nation’s health.

In her spare time she is a keen horse rider and enjoys spending time in nature.

Deborah plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, working closely with clinical and administrative teams to deliver high-quality patient care. 

Outside of work, she enjoys weekends away in her camper van, relaxing on cruises, and most of all, spending quality time with her family.

Amy began her career at Trinity Court at the age of 17 in 2017. Since then, she has worked her way up to the position of Operations Manager, having completed her Level 5 Leadership & Management diploma in December 2024.

She thrives on the variety and fast-paced environment of General Practice, and takes great pride in knowing she has made a positive impact on people’s lives.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going on countryside walks (especially when a coffee and cake stop is included), crochet and visiting her family in Devon.

Sallie joined the Surgery in 2016.  Sallie enjoys helping others, motivating and bringing the best out of her colleagues by working with their strengths and has developed a great supportive Reception/Admin Team. 

Outside of work, she values spending quality time with friends and family.  She enjoys walking her dog and unwinding with a good thriller or bingeworthy TV series.  A holiday in the sunshine with her husband is however the icing on the cake.

Lynne has worked at the surgery for over 20 years and currently works as a GP Assistant, supporting clinicians and covering clinics to help ensure smooth, patient-centred care.  She brings extensive experience, strong organisational skills, and a calm, friendly approach to the role. 

Outside work, she is passionate about music and regularly attends live gigs.  She also loves travel, with a particular specialist interest in Italy, speaking fluent Italian!  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and exploring new recipes.

Musculoskeletal First Contact Practitioner / Physiotherapist

In the UK, an average of 30% of GP appointments are for musculoskeletal (MSK) problems. Having physiotherapists work within GP practices and take over these appointments, means that patients get seen quicker and recover faster.

First Contact Practitioner (FCP) is a new model evolving UK. It involves placing physiotherapists directly into GP practices and to treat patients who come into the clinic with musculoskeletal problems.

Patients with MSK conditions bypass the appointment with a GP, and go straight to get help with a specialist physiotherapist. Instead of the traditional method where they are seen by the GP then referred for a physio appointment which can take up to 6 weeks or more.

This makes wait and recovery times shorter and reduces the need for medication.

Tim helps our patients navigate the social care system and connect them to vital community services.  Social prescribing is a person-centred way to connect people with their community by providing them access to benefits, services, groups and activities that aim to improve physical and mental wellbeing.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys making the most of his free time by exploring the outdoors with his dog, spending time with friends and family, and unwinding with good music.  He's passionate about camping, hiking and cooking and is always up for a new adventure or trying a new recipe!
